Matt Liggins (Ngati Ruanui) is a Professional Teaching Fellow at the University of Auckland School of Planning and Architecture. He is the director of his design firm Matt Liggins Studio which  is a cross discipline practice which engages with a diverse field of creative pursuits being fine art, installations and architecture. Matt’s latest installations; the real pyramid schemer, house of 9,783 plastic bags / house for the homeless, the vitruvian tunnel and the skyscraper I could never build / ego tower, let the studio critique, comment and test topical ideas relating to identity, culture, religion and politics which engage with a larger audience, and with no restrictions or boundaries which are becoming more common place with modern commercial architectural practice.
