M is a leading expert on conspiracy theory, currently employed in Philosophy at the University of Waikato. A passionate communicator, M has travelled internationally to talk about how we should treat the phenomenon of conspiracy theory seriously. M is also a frequent media commentator both locally and abroad on conspiracy theories, fake news, and other “weird” beliefs. M is now involved in several research projects investigating COVID-19 conspiracy theories and their role in political discourse in Aotearoa New Zealand.
